New York City. 3 days and 2 nights in the city on a bachelor party filled with 12 friends, food, drinks, booze, late nights, booze, blackouts and more booze. We set out to celebrate and enjoy life in the Big City. Married, spoken for, or single it didn’t matter because out there, for the one cold and brisk weekend we were all equal. Our mission goal was to blackout the groom at his bachelor party brunch. Many mimosas later… mischief managed. We even took some collateral damage. Let’s just say not everyone made it to dinner that night.
Woah. Wait a minute. Timeout.
This is not what this post is about. This about the New York photos I managed to take while walking around the city. It’s about the beauty I found and managed to capture. Man, this post was about to go down a slippery road nobody wants to read about.
New York Highlights
I found the coffee at Joe and The Juice excellent, its dark roasted was silky smooth. The staff was very friendly and the music was eclectic with various hits ranging from Chance the Rapper to The Beatles. Importantly it was never too loud and that was critically important for the hangovers.
Before our mischievous brunch, we walked onto the aircraft carrier of the Intrepid Sea, Air, and Space Museum. The retired jets of our armed forces and the very large space shuttle from NASA were jaw dropping. The space shuttle alone was worth the price of admission. The next day I had a humbling experience at the 9/11 Memorial and Museum as it really put life and death and into perspective. Much love there.
In the end, I found New York City a much more fun experience than previous. I would love to get back into the city, just not when it’s 40 degrees outside.
