Salutations and the Love for Food

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening, and just plain old salutations. Now that introductions and pleasantries out of the way let me begin with this…

Ever had that deep burning desire to get something right in your life? Or had a bright idea you felt was sensational about? Perhaps you have a solid idea and you want to grab the idea by the horns before it stampedes away? This is what I’m attempting to do here. This blog is about the love for food, food fusion, alcohol tastings, and food life in South Florida. I’ll be clear here. I don’t even know the what the true intent of this blog is and where it may end up in the grand scheme of things. Yet, it’s something I want to do.

These past few months I’ve attended several tastings, liquor classes, and beer/food festivals. It’s my intention to bring to light these small foodie and tastings events. Also, I’d like to blog about my home cooked meals. I’m by no means a chef or even a writer but I came from a family who cooked, and still cook amazing Spanish foods.

I’m no slouch in the health foods either. I try to eat sensible foods. I work out at least three times a week by running or cycling . I want to stress this blog is by no means a recipe guide or a diet guide for others to lose weight. We’re all adults here, you know what’s good for you. If you want to lose weight, see a doctor for a specific diet. I know what’s good for my body, I enjoy a low-carb high protein diet. I’ve battled with high triglycerides in my blood and brought them down to a nominal number. I’ve done food specific diets. With Gastric Confusion I lost over 16lbs, losing 30lbs in the long run. No lie it’s hard to lose that much weight and maintain it.

In the end, I hope to meet interesting people with similar interests. I think with a bit of art, design, food, and drinks this blog can go a long way. Wish me luck! -Malk
